“Accent on Guest Satisfaction”

Free Wi-Fi is accessible in the lobby and library both of which are pleasant places to hang out. I used both places as computer work stations, where cleanliness and comfort were attributes, and did so with minimal distractions. A bar is the central focus of the lobby. The lobby makes effective use of corners for alcoves of seclusion for small intimate gatherings. For our two-night visit, the North Shore Theater brought us in town, there were enough staff on hand stepping in solicitously whenever we displayed minor hesitancy. We were assigned to a connecting room but requested a stand-alone after walking in heard quite clearly a conversation in the adjoining room. The request was promptly granted. Room and bed were quite comfortable and private. My one caveat: two people would be hard pressed to move around in the tiny bathroom.

“Outstanding Service”

I was at the Renaissance for 5 nights on business. The stay was very enjoyable. All of the staff see pleasant and attentive.

The hotel is very beautiful. There was a short situation with an elevator malfunction but that was resolved quickly.

The most impressive experience involved reporting by phone I had left something in my room. I had checked out on Friday and was at work in the local area. I called and spoke with Kathleen at the front desk and explained the situation. Kathleen contacted the director of housekeeping and she retrieved my item from the room. Kathleen contacted the hotel shuttle driver and the driver organized his trips to allow time to drop off my item with a valet at the place I was working for the day.

I did not have an ability to return to the hotel as I was going directly to the airport as soon as my shift ended. These three employees displayed tremendous teamwork and outstanding customer service. I travel weekly and stay in hotels many nights each week. I wish I could stay at this hotel for every assignment.

"Weekend Getaway"

We stayed here for one night and it was a great stay. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately by Jim the Bellhop. He was friendly and super helpful. We told him we were seeing a show later and he was quick to let us know that he would be more than happy to shuttle us to the venue. Check in was quick and easy and Jim helped us to our rooms with our bags. The room was very comfy and the bed was great. The second shift bellhop Tony was just as amazing. He picked us up from the venue and recommended a great place for dinner. He called the restaurant and got us a table immediately. He shuttled us to the restaurant and made sure we were seated and taken care of before he left for the hotel. Once we were finished with dinner we called Tony and within minutes he was back to pick us up. Once back at the hotel he gave us tickets for a free drink at the hotel bar. Our room came with free breakfast which was fantastic. Good food, good coffee and good service. Hotel was easily accessible to the interstate, great shopping and great restaurants.

“Lovely Hotel”

Helpful Reception Staff. Good advice regarding travelling to and from Northwestern University daily. Lovely room with Wi-Fi access. Relaxing Lobby and Bar area. Shuttle service excellent. Would recommend!
